The Phoenix Zoo, which established in 1962, is the country's largest privately owned, non-profit zoo. The zoo, which is located in Phoenix, Arizona, was founded by Robert Maytag, a member of the Maytag family, and is situated on 125 acres in the Papago Park neighborhood.
